Grandma’s Chili
By Cynthia Hager

For as long as I can remember, my grandma has been making me her special chili. Just recently, she decided to stop making it, so she passed the recipe on to me.
I guarantee 100 percent that this chili is just as good as Wendy’s — maybe even better. I absolutely love this stuff, and I hope that you will, too!
You will need:
2 cans Campbell’s tomato soup
1 lb. 100 percent ground beef
1 can Luck’s pinto beans
chili powder
onion powder
ketchup
salt
pepper
crackers (if desired)
shredded cheese (if desired)
1. Brown beef in skillet. Add salt, pepper, onion powder and chili powder until at desired taste.
2. Pour tomato soup, four cans of water (using the tomato soup can) and pinto beans into a large pot. Add a few squirts of ketchup.
3. Once meat has browned, add to pot. Add a shake of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of chili powder and a bit of pepper. (Don’t overdo it, though - I speak from experience on this.)
4. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Turn on low heat and let simmer for 15-30 minutes.
5. Taste test to see if chili is done. If not, simmer longer.
6. Pour in bowl, add crackers and/or cheese and enjoy.
