OK, the last time I wrote about "American Idol" was when Ramielle was sent packing. I said then that over the next three weeks Michael, Kristy Lee and Jason would be leaving.
Well, I was right about two, but instead of Jason, it was Carly this week.
The week Michael went home, the contestants sang songs from their birth year (mostly '80s songs, though there was one from the '70s and one from the '90s). Michael did well, but with a group as talented as this someone had to go home. Besides, he wasn't the best of the bunch.
Next week was Mariah Carey week. Kristy Lee did very well, but again she wasn't the best and this is a talented group. Finally, two of the three average contestants were gone, which only left one - Jason.
This week, Andrew Lloyd Weber came, and I was so excited that Jason was going to leave and prove me right. However, to my surprise, he was announced safe after another boring performance.
Brooke did OK. She was nervous and messed up, but she was still safe. Even though I love her, I think Brooke should have been in the bottom two with Jason.
The next three singers were the two Davids and Carly. David C. sang wonderfully but was boring; David A. sang very well and wasn't boring but had some bad notes. Carly, my favorite, did wonderful and looked like she had tons of fun; however, she had some bad notes too.
Finally, Syesha sang and did amazing. I loved her performance of "One Rock n' Roll Too Many"! Wow!
I have to say that it was probably the second best performance in "American Idol" history, next to "Alone" by Carrie. I am still hyped up about that performance. Props to Syesha. If she keeps it up, she might be able to make it into the top three.
When it all comes down to it, though, I think David A. will be the runner up and David C. will be the winner. I don't see any other outcome happening. As for third place, Brooke, Syesha and Jason will have to battle for that for the next two weeks. It's a toss-up between them all.
