Analyzing 'American Idol'

Last week, I didn't write about the show, so here's a quick recap: They sang Beatles songs again. Amanda left after a bad performance, which I think was a good decision. She deserved to go home in my opinion.

As for the others, Kristy Lee, Michael, David C. Chikezie and Ramiele were okay; Brooke and Jason were good and Carly and David A. were very good. Syesha did amazing with "Yesterday."

This week, the top 10 (the ones who go on tour) had to pick songs from the year they were born. Most of them did a nice job.

Kristy Lee, Jason, Ramiele and Chikezie were okay, but if they want to win, they will have to do a lot better.

Brooke, David A. and Carly (my favorite) barley edged out these four. They all are amazing singers, but I guess they were all off in Wonderland this week.

David C. and Syesha were awesome and gave amazing performances.

As for Michael, I have never really liked him, but, surprisingly, his performance of Queen's "We Are the Champions" and "We Will Rock You" was my favorite. I thought his idea of weaving two songs together was brilliant. In the beginning, he was my pick to just keep sliding through each week (there is always one), but if he keeps this up he will go far and be one to beat.

This week's results show was great! Not only did Chikezie go home, which I think was the right choice, but Kimberly Locke sang. The only bad thing was that Syesha was in the bottom two and did not deserve to be.

Now, if Kristy Lee would just go home, it would be a great competition. I think Michael and Ramiele still need work, but at least they have proven at least once why they deserve to be there.

Next week, Brooke and Kristy Lee will probably kick butt with Dolly Parton week. However, I hope that Kristy Lee proves me wrong and leaves.

More excitingly, the week after next is Idol Gives Back!
