The Recipe Box: Peaunt butter fudge

Every year at Christmas time, I ask a family member to make some peanut butter fudge for me. It’s like tradition at my house. This year, though, I have decided to take the initiative and make it myself.

This is the best recipe, and it is good for all occasions. If you’re having a holiday party this year, I would highly advise you to make a batch.

You will need:

1/2 cup butter

2 1/4 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup milk

3/4 cup peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar

Directions:

1. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

2. Stir in brown sugar and milk.

3. Bring to a boil and boil for two minutes, stirring frequently.

4. Remove from heat.

5. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.

6. Pour over confectioners’ sugar in a large mixing bowl.

7. Beat until smooth.

8. Pour into an 8x8 inch dish.

9. Chill until firm and cut into squares.
